Celebrity Antique/Antique Inspired Engagement Rings

It’s been while since I last posted about celebrity engagement rings (Celebrity Antique Engagement Rings and Celebrity Antique Inspired Engagement Rings). I still get excited when I see a celebrity with an antique/antique inspired engagement ring. They are all unique and beautiful. Here are more for your viewing pleasure!

Jason Sudeikis proposed to Olivia Wilde with an eye catching unique diamond and emerald halo ring set in yellow gold and platinum.

Alexis Bedel received an antique/antique inspired engagement ring from her Mad Men co-star, Vincent Kartheiser. The ring seems to be set in platinum with an octagon shaped bezel holding a round diamond and a few small diamond details on the thin band.

Adam Levine popped the question on one knee to model, Behati Pinsaloo, with a beautiful 1930s antique diamond ring. The band has delicate filigree detailing.

Romain Dauriac, a French journalist, proposed to Scarlett Johansson with an unique rectangular shaped Art Deco diamond ring. The ring features three vertically set round diamonds surrounded by smaller diamonds. I particularly love her ring because it is a similar design to my antique Art Deco engagement ring!

Sacha Baron Cohen proposed to Isla Fisher with an antique/antique inspired diamond ring (pictured with her wedding bands). The ring has lovely diamond detailing on the sides.

Mary-Kate Olsen received a vintage yellow gold diamond and sapphire engagement ring from Olivier Sarkozy. It is reportedly a 1950s Cartier ring with a four carat old European cut centre stone, surrounded by a sapphire halo, held by a diamond encrusted basket in the shape of petals.

Evan Ross proposed to Ashlee Simpsons with a custom made vintage inspired ruby and diamond ring from Neil Lane. The ring is made up of a five carat marquise cut center diamond surrounded by rubies and smaller diamonds to bring out the center stone. It is set in yellow gold and platinum.

Diamond Wedding Anniversary Band

My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary recently. He bought me a beautiful thin rose gold diamond band from Diamond Dove Jewelry on Etsy. The band goes so well with my thin stacking bands and small diamond solitaire.

Wedding Ring Stack

I love the look of simple delicate wedding rings. I received two very thin stacking bands for our 7 year dating anniversary in April. They were from Etsy seller, Mary John. One is hammered and the other is twisted. I am currently wearing them with the little diamond solitaire that I had a local jeweler reset. I still wear my lovely engagement ring on the other hand. It’s my favorite piece of jewelry!

Resettings rings

I had a stone reset and a ring remade so I can now stack and wear them with my wedding ring. The jeweler did a wonderful job!

One of my old rings (pictured below on the left), although really beautiful and unique, is thick and doesn’t go well with my wedding ring which is why I had the diamond reset into a thin 18k rose gold bezel ring (pictured below on the right). The glowing rich colour of the gold really makes the diamond stand out.

I also had a really old busy yellow gold flower ruby ring (pictured below on the left) remade into a single ruby twisted stacking ring (pictured below on the right). The marquise ruby was set east-west and the gold was reused.

Below are my thin yellow and rose gold rings together. I just purchased a plain thin yellow gold twisted band and plain thin yellow gold band on Etsy. I plan to wear the rings above with them and stack them together on my wedding ring finger. Can’t wait to get stacking!

Antique Art Deco Wedding Ring

My wedding ring is a delicate antique Art Deco ring from an Etsy seller, Addy. It’s made of 18k yellow gold and 3 small old mine cut diamonds set in platinum. The yellow gold is quite rosy in colour and the diamonds are cushion shaped with the middle one being slightly longer. The ring is dainty, good for everyday wear, and beautiful. I wear my wedding ring and engagement ring seperately because they look nice on it’s own.

Antique Art Deco Engagement Ring

My boyfriend, now fiance, of 6 years proposed to me last December before Christmas. He gave me a beautiful Art Deco platinum diamond ring from the 1920s. The diamonds are Old European cut, with a larger one in the centre, two smaller ones positioned north and south, surrounded by 15 tiny diamonds. What I love most about it is the unique shape, the intricate lines, the chunky cut diamonds, and the miligrain. The ring has so much character and I absolutely love it!

Antique Victorian Sapphire & Diamond Bow Ring

My birthday is coming up and my boyfriend gave me a beautiful dainty antique 1850’s Victorian bow ring. It’s made up of two pear cut sapphires, nine tiny old cut diamonds, an 18k delicate gold band, and a platinum milgrain bow setting with hidden swirl engravings. It’s even more breathtaking in person.

The ring was from a lovely Antique ring Etsy shop, Gold Adore.

Dainty Antique Art Deco Rings

Dainty rings look so lovely and feminine on the finger. However, dainty antique rings are even more exquisite to look at. Many are made up of diamonds and/or coloured stones, a thin yellow gold band, and an interesting milgrain platinum setting. The intricate designs and hand cut stones make the rings unique in their own way. Below are a number of dainty antique art deco rings from Esty that I love!

Chunky Gemstone Gold Rings

I recently found an inspiring professional make-up artist on Youtube. Her name is Lisa Eldridge and she does make-up for many A-list celebrities. I was never good at putting make-up on so it’s interesting to watch her videos. My favourite make-up piece would have to be the lipstick! A tip I learnt from one of her videos is that you can use your lipstick as a cream blusher. Aside from the make-up, the rings that she wears in her videos are very beautiful and eye catching. She usually wears her chunky sapphire yellow gold rings made by William Welstead. I went on Etsy to find similar and equally beautiful designs. The combination of yellow gold and chunky colourful gemstones makes them bold eye catching statement pieces, yet they have a warm, soft, and luscious look to it.

Gold Leaf Leverback Earrings

My boyfriend and I have a bad habit of giving each other presents early because we get so excited about them. Our five year anniversary is coming up soon and he gave me these lovely two-toned yellow and white gold textured leaf leverback earrings. I love them!! They are perfect for both casual everday wear and formal wear.

Leverback earrings have a hook which securely closes together with a clasp at the back. I prefer leverbacks because they are comfortable, impossible to lose when you’re wearing them, and they don’t hurt when you sleep with them on. I had my ears pierced only a few years ago and I started out wearing studs. The back of the studs always poked the side of my head/neck behind my ear when I slept on my side, and the pain always woke me up. I have also lost a few backs to them and they end up falling out. So when I got my first pair of leverback earrings, I was surprised at how comfortable they were.
